Château Magnol (750ml - 13.5%)
In its youth, Château Magnol displays a vibrant, deep ruby hue. Its nose reveals a refined, fruity aroma, enriched by the blackcurrant undertones of the Cabernet Sauvignon and the redcurrant nuances of the Merlot. The palate offers a full-bodied experience, with velvety tannins and a lingering spicy finish. With aging, the wine gains maturity, showcasing pronounced toasted oak flavours.

In its early stages, Château Magnol boasts a lively, deep ruby colour. On the nose, it offers an elegant fruity bouquet, highlighted by the blackcurrant notes of Cabernet Sauvignon and the redcurrant hints of Merlot. The palate delivers a rich, full-bodied experience with silky tannins and a persistent spicy finish. As the wine matures, it develops pronounced flavours of toasted oak. Grapes used: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc.
Ideal pairing with red meats, whether grilled or roasted, particularly lamb and duck breast, as well as gourmet cheeses. Best served at 16-18°C. The winemakers at Château Magnol focus on extracting high-quality tannins and flavours to craft a wine that embodies the appellation's robust and powerful character. Through meticulous grape selection and minimal intervention during the natural ripening process, alcoholic fermentation typically occurs at 30°C with daily rack and return. The wine macerates on the skins for approximately three weeks. Following fermentation, Château Magnol is aged in vats on its lees with controlled oxygenation. Subsequently, the wine is blended and transferred to oak barrels for a 12-month aging period. To ensure an elegant and harmonious oak influence, Bernard Fulloy opts for 350-liter French oak barrels, with 30% being new each year. Upon completing the barrel aging, the wine undergoes fining before bottling. Current vintage is 2017.
