The Kings Wrath Pinot Noir (6 x 750ml - 14%)
The Kings Wrath Pinot Noir has aromas of dark spiced fruits with attractive floral notes and a subtle hint of forest floor. Black Doris plums and dark cherries dusted with five spice, supported by some savoury complexity. Mocha and coffee notes from the oak compliment the dense fruit. The tannins are fine and velvety.

The King’s Wrath Pinot Noir has inviting aromatics of blackberries and mocha are followed by lifted florals and dried cloves. The weighty palate holds a fine-grained tannin structure which intertwine with notes of raspberry and plum. The wine finishes intensely with a lingering silky palate that harmonises with bright juicy Marlborough fruit flavours.
Brent Marris, Marlborough born and raised, spent years as a youngster exploring the landscape of his home region. He put that exploration to good use when, in 2003, he started his search for a vineyard property. The site he chose was 268ha of vineyards on the banks of the Waihopai River, on the southern side of the Wairau Valley. The De Marisco’s descended from William de Marisco who was said to be on of 35 illegitimate children of King Henry the First. Brent created this range in homage to his royal ancestors.
