Upon learning of this remarkable gem, the Earl of Dudley purchased it, adorned it with 95 smaller diamonds, and presented it to the Countess of Dudley as a stunning head ornament. The stone became famously known as the ‘Dudley Diamond,’ adding a touch of historical allure to this exquisite wine.
