Beranger Picpoul de Pinet offers an aromatic burst of complexity, featuring bright citrus notes of grapefruit, lemon, and lime, complemented by floral hints of white flowers, linden leaves, and hawthorn blossom, alongside a distinct mineral character. This is an elegant and refined wine, finishing with a refreshing, delicately saline touch. Produced by Beranger, it’s excellent as an aperitif or paired with oysters from the Etang de Thau or Loch Fyne, sushi, mussels 'à la marinière', grilled fish, or asparagus.
The terroir is composed of ancient terraces, known as ‘Costières’, overlooking the Etang de Thau lagoon and the Mediterranean Sea. The geological composition includes limestone, red marl, clay, sand, and stone, with the vineyards benefiting from the Mediterranean climate. Cooler nights compared to the inland regions enhance grape quality. The grapes are harvested, macerated on the skins for several hours, pressed, and the selected juice is cold double-decanted before undergoing temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Crafted by winemaker Les Costières de Pomérols, this wine is made from 100% Picpoul Blanc grapes, embodying the essence of Languedoc, France.
