Barton & Guestier Rosé is a crisp and lively wine with vibrant pink grapefruit aromas. Crafted from a blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah grapes, this rosé offers a refreshing and aromatic experience on the palate. The brand's story dates back to the early 18th century when Thomas Barton, an Irish adventurer, emigrated to Bordeaux at the age of 30. In 1725, he founded a wine-shipping company that quickly gained immense success, earning him the nickname "French Tom" among his loyal clients. By 1747, he was recognized as Bordeaux's leading wine shipper and became the first to own wine estates in the region.
In 1802, Thomas Barton’s grandson, Hugh Barton, partnered with French trader Daniel Guestier to form Barton & Guestier, now the oldest established wine merchant in Bordeaux. This prestigious legacy continues with their exceptional wines, like the Rosé, which pairs beautifully with grilled meats, salads, and spicy or exotic dishes, making it a versatile choice for a variety of meals.
