Barton & Guestier Chablis, a White Burgundy, boasts a brilliant golden-yellow hue and an aromatic nose combining enticing notes of pear and apricot with subtle mineral undertones. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, culminating in a refined mineral finish. This elegant wine pairs beautifully with fish in sauce, seafood, and white meats, making it a versatile choice for various dishes.
Hailing from one of Burgundy's most northern regions, Chablis is renowned for its unique Jurassic Kimmeridgean soils, which impart a distinctive minerality to the wine. Quality is paramount in the vineyard, with low yields, meticulous hand-tending, and minimal intervention during the natural ripening process. After harvesting, the grapes are gently crushed and settled for clarity before undergoing a slow alcoholic fermentation at 20–24°C, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged in steel vats for 3–12 months, with controlled oxidation at the start of the process. Crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes, this Chablis reflects the exceptional terroir and dedication to quality that define the region.
