At the tender age of 29, Dominique Pierrel founded his very own House of Champagne in Epernay, the capital of the Champagne region. His early collaboration with a family of vine growers in Vertus, on the prestigious Cotes Des Blancs, enabled him to pick the very best supplies of grapes for his Champagne. In 1990, Philippe Robert joined the venture as both men shared the exact same vision: to create unique and fabulous wines. Both Philippe's 25-hectare wide vineyard in Monthelon, on the Epernay Hills, and his knowledge of the trade had been handed over from father to son for generations. Combining their savoir-faire and experience, they quickly acquired the relevant tools to take the Pierrel House of Champagne to new levels of excellence. Philippe Robert now concentrates on growing the very best grapes and on blending the most exquisite of Champagne wines. As well as providing the best products, came his talent for wine making, his passion for the trade, and his dedication for quality. Just as a composer or a painter, he creates and elaborates his wines with both the skills of a well-trained engineer and the talent of an inspired artist. His Champagnes are authentic; they are compositions where all the grape varieties are given the chance to express themselves with brio, and give the best of their aromas and flavours. Driven by the audacity of his youth and prompted by his innovative ideas, Dominique Pierrel has modernised the Champagne world. His creativity in designing new concepts of packaging revolutionised the old-fashioned view on labels. His patented sleeves reflect damaging UV rays away from the glass bottle, hence protecting the wine. As sleeves can easily be peronalised, bottles have become works of art. The exquisite Champagne wines from Pierrel have now found deserving vessels. The House of Pierrel has shown ingenuity in both wine-making and presentation, and sincerely hopes to help you develop a taste and passion for its wines. ![]() |
